Once the 5.5 Gun had been retired the F1 was used as a General Purpose Cargo vehicle. The F1 was also produced and supplied to the NZ Army in tow other variants.
The Limber / Ammunition Carrier for the 5.5 gun, with a similar tray but the addition of a hydralic crane behind the cab, as well as a cross country tipper fitted with an aluminium dump body.
